Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, each Senior Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the operations of the home infusion therapy or alternate site pharmacy, which may include sterile compounding, dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, DME management, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and other duties as assigned. This role is equally challenging and rewarding. As a senior team member, you'll help identify problems and determine solutions both independently or in a team/group setting. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. It's a fast paced, high-volume environment where accuracy is essential.
Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday; 40 hours
Location: 2685 Patton Road, Roseville, MN
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
- Contact patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
- Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion
- Resolve customer issues while ensuring accurate information is provided
- Performs any other related task as determined by the Pharmacist or Pharmacist-In-Charge or as determined by the State Board of Pharmacy
- Meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record
- Compound IV Medications in a clean room environment
- Use USP797 guidelines for sterile compounding
- Maintain clean room environment and daily / weekly / monthly cleaning of room and equipment according to SOPs
- Manage inventory and ordering supplies
- Demonstrate the ability to understand variable compounding modalities and to work independently but understand the need to consult with the pharmacist if questions arise
- Resolve patient issues while ensuring accurate information is provided
- Schedule patient deliveries and refills
- Taking inbound calls and making outbound calls as needed
- Basic tasks are completed without review by others
- May need to assist with other areas of the pharmacy

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 3+ years of pharmacy related experience (includes retail pharmacy experience)
- Pharmacy Technician licensing and registration as required by state
- 2+ years of pharmacy related experience (includes retail pharmacy experience)
- Advance level of proficiency in Sterile IV Compounding in a Hospital or Specialty Pharmacy Setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system application
