Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is the newest addition to the Penn State Health system. This BRAND NEW hospital features 134 private inpatient beds, an emergency department, physician offices, various specialty inpatient services, an imaging lab, and complete medical and surgical capabilities. This position is to allow for flexibility between the endoscopy department and the sterile processing department.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As the Sterile Processing tech, this position prepares, sterilizes, installs, operates, inspects, &/or cleans healthcare equipment.
As the Endoscopy Tech, this position is responsible for assisting and supporting provider diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including procedure room set up, providing and anticipating necessary equipment and supply needs, maintain a sterile field, and preparation and administration of appropriate medications as delegated. Assists the provider with alternate site procedures and associated equipment documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School or equivalent
BLS required prior to orientation completion
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Endoscopy, bronchoscopy, or sterile processing experience
