OR Tech I - General Surgery - FT/Days

This position is accountable for the direct and indirect care of patient's/families as assigned under the direction and supervision of the physician and/or Registered Nurse. Adheres to safety standards identified within the institution to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery. Collects data pertinent to patient assessment in a systematic method emphasis on physiological, psychosocial, environmental, and cognitive patient status. The technician's practice is performed within the scope of training and in accordance with policies of Valley Children's Healthcare

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. Successful completion of Operating Room Technician training program OR 3 years experience as an OR Tech in lieu of a formal program is required. BLS - Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position. Minimum six (6) months related experience preferred. Medical terminology preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Day shifts - On-Call shifts required. Occasional night and weekend coverage.

PAY RANGE: $24.90 - $38.00
