Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time- 4 am to 12:30 pm Tuesday - Saturday
You Will Be Responsible For:
Routinely assigns repair and preventive work orders as necessary to maintain equipment and building in excellent working condition. Periodically verifies that completed work orders contain required information on parts, work time and description of work performed using the Laundry inventory management system effectively to track and input repairs made.
Provides input for preventive maintenance mechanics’ evaluations and is responsible for training all staff members on preventive maintenance shift.
Utilizes knowledge of PLCs, inverters, and pneumatic and steam systems, and how they are applied in laundry operations and uses proper electrical installation and repair techniques in a workman like manner with panels, conduits, flex, cut in boxes, devices and components.
Utilizes all available resources to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment with a proactive approach to ensure a minimal amount of down time. Verifies completed tasks by testing complete functionality of equipment after repair is completed ensuring that the equipment will continue to operate per manufacturer specifications.
Inspects equipment for possible failure of parts and reports it immediately.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five years of experience working with electronic controls, PLCâ™s, inverters, pneumatic systems and hydraulic systems
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
5 yearsâ™ experience as an Engineer in a high-volume laundry
5 yearsâ™ experience on thermal oil operated ironers
Welding experience
Experience working in an ISO-9001 environment
10 years of experience on steam operated equipment
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Electrical or electronics certificate a plus Electrical or electronics certificate a plus
Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Repair Technician Lead troubleshoots, repairs and installs laundry equipment and components keeping the laundry operating at full capacity. Diagnoses and repairs multiple interconnected systems and components including mechanical, electronic, programmable logic controllers (PLC programming), electric motor inverter drives, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and hot oil systems. Utilizes a variety of test equipment for troubleshooting of equipment and systems to the component level. Routinely assigns repair and preventive work orders as necessary to maintain equipment and building in excellent working condition. Provides training and develops all members of the preventive maintenance mechanics team and gives input for annual evaluations. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
