The Role:
Our York, UK site is currently recruiting for an Instrument Technician to join the Biopharmaceutical Chemistry Manufacturing Controls (BiopharmCMC) division.
The Instrument Technician will be based on-site and will be focused on providing support to the GMP Equipment Management group.
You will join a team of 2 people in York but will be part of a UK team of 13, where excellent training and on-boarding will be given to you, meaning you do not need to have previous experience of this type of environment to be considered for this role - however good computer skills would be beneficial.
Job Responsibilities
Adhere to and/or complete all equipment documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Equipment Training Documentation
Equipment Specification Documents
Equipment Qualification Documents
Other equipment validation documents (e.g., risk assessments)
Supplier Approval Request Forms
Management of vendor documents and Work Orders
Coordinate with in house or vendor maintenance and qualification activities:
Work with Operations to determine appropriate timeframe for maintenance
Schedule maintenance with Facilities Management (FM)
Escort vendors during maintenance and qualification activities
Manage "Do Not Use" tags to ensure instrumentation downtime is minimized
Where required arrange for the installation and set-up of new equipment.

Education:
Educated to A-level (or a similar educational standard) or with experience in a technical role
Good computing skills preferred due to the nature of the role
