About the Role:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be supporting the clinical and operational delivery of our clinical content offering through horizon scanning and customer insight, along with liaising with customers and delivering service objectives and contractual obligations relevant to the Optum Medicines Optimisation services. This role will be accountable for the successful mobilization of any new or renewed customer contract - both implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Working Schedule: This is a full-time position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday. Occasional after-work hours may be required to support emergency response and operational needs.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver the national Medicines Optimisation Prescribing Decision Support priorities for Optum UK
Work as an extension to ICB teams supporting their Prescribing Decision support objectives
Improving ICB Prescribing Decision support clinical content through proactive analysis and insight, localisation support, ICB-wide projects focusing on formulary harmonization, reviewing and sharing national evidence/guidance - Requesting Commissioner feedback for continuous improvement
Monitor and deliver critical success factors
Monitor and adhere to standard operating procedures
Ensure clients maximise use and support clinical best practice
Monitor and improve commercial delivery and IOI of Medicines Optimisation support services
Delivery and authoring rights of clinical content before it is shared with customers and prescribers
Supporting client requests for improvement of their clinical content and prescribing decision support
Maintain personal and professional development in order to make the optimum contribution to the work of the Medicines Optimisation Team
Assist with other ad-hoc requests depending upon business need.
Required Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician qualification
Community based experience/ GP practice or pharmacy roles
Ability to work with MS office in windows environment
Preferred Qualifications:
CCG / NHS Health Board or integrated care boards (ICB) medicine optimisation team experience
