The role you’ll contribute:
The Patient Care Technician works under supervision of the professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age specific groups identified in the position responsibilities. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Assists patients with their activities of daily living including but not limited to basic hygiene, skin care, nutritional and dietary needs, elimination needs, physical activity needs and all comfort measures. Always maintains respect and privacy. ·Performs the basic general patient care routines and tasks in a safe, competent, therapeutic and cost-effective manner. ·Assists in proper care and maintenance in the use of all unit and patient care equipment: i.e. keeps thermometers, blood glucose machines in clean working order per procedure and routines; keeps VS4s and IV pumps plugged into the wall (in the “off” mode), maintains proper storage of various patient equipment such as telemetry units, orthopedic equipment, traction, and CPM machines.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·High school graduate or GED equivalent. ·Current Florida certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or EMT. ·BLS certification.
