What You?ll Do

• Perform high-quality MRI procedures (including routine and advanced imaging) according to established protocols and physician orders.

• Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET principles to ensure comfort, safety, and understanding throughout the procedure.

• Prepare and position patients accurately, adjust equipment controls, and follow all safety and infection-control standards.

• Maintain MRI equipment and work area cleanliness; assist engineers and physicists in maintaining optimal performance.

• Ensure MRI safety by screening all patients and visitors according to approved policies.

• Collaborate with Radiologists, nursing staff, and imaging team members to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records for interpretation.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Certification/Licensure:

  • Certified by one of the following:

    • ARRT (MR) - Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or

    • ARRT (R) - Radiography, or

    • ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists

  • Must hold a current Texas Medical Board (TMB) License as a Medical Radiologic Technologist

• Experience: Less than one year required; one year of MRI experience preferred

• BLS Certification required

• Excellent communication and patient care skills
